Glory to the Guilds
A campaign designed around more general adventuring and heroic works on a “local” scale rather than world-shattering events. To begin, you find yourself in the city of Fortune’s Hold, capitol of the country of Tristenval.
- The Country of Tristenval is run by a Triumvirate of elected officials known as the “Justicars” . One Justicar represents each of the provinces and beneath them is a series of senators representing each “major” city in their purview. It is well known that: within the country elections occur every 2 years and no individual may sit as Justicar for more than 10 years (consecutive or non-consecutive), if more than one individual from a singular family sits as Justicar the 10 year rule applies with the following cavate: A family may, after a 6 year hiatus, run for office so long as the individual running has not met the 10 year rule.new
- Emfalla, represented by Howl Cleangre (Water Genasi, M, 62 years old) 5 years in office, controls trade by sea, fishing, and some farming/ lumber work for the country. “Capitol” Emfalla.
- Moorsin, represented by Merania Dewholder (Human, F, 48 years old) 8 years in office, controls alcohol production, dairy, ranching, hunting. “Capitol” Guilded Sea”
- Uldair, represented by El’Etri Moonwalker (High Elf, M, 177 years old) 1 year in office, controls lumber and mining operations for the country. “Capitol” Pinecrest
- Fortune’s Hold– Home of the Senate, Triumvirate, and major Guilds of the country. Mercenary work, trade, and law pass through these gates standing as a “Free city-state” not beholden to any one province. Divided into 4 regions, the city is bustling at most hours as commerce moves in and out. From the North West the main road brings travelers through Freedom’s Fields where you must pass by The Smarmy Marmot and Thundorak Theatre before passing into Farmer’s Wheel. Yes, you’ll smell all the crops and fertilizer it takes to make good grains, but don’t worry; you’ll soon smell the river as you cross onto the island where Halls of the Three resides and justice is doled out by the Triumvirate. The bridge over the small island takes you into Guild Row where, if you feel so inclined, you may just enter the stadium Eye of the Gods to make some coin off combat. Turning south down the road you will finally find yourself at The Overwatch the name not only of the sector, but the mage tower that overlooks the river and cityscape.
